Men in SEXY Button-Downs

I like how men are oh-so-sexy in button downs, really. Okay, having a nice body with a nice face adds to it, but don't you think guys should wear more of them even on casual occations? Like going to church or a small party, for example. I think it shows how they care about their appearance and that's hot! At this time, both men and women care about how they look. And I must say, some of them are doing very well. The others, try harder, maybe.

OK, I just noticed that both shirts are plaids and I didn't do it on purpose. I couldn't find nicer ones. LOL. I would prefer plain shirts or light stripes, but plaids are good too. They're so fashionable now! It also makes the shirt look and feel more casual so you can look good but not over-the-top. So you won't have to feel overdressed. You blend in and pop at the same time, get what I'm saying. And I notice that MANY guys realise what button downs can change your look. So many guys are wearing them now. GOOD JOB, you guys! :)
I also think what you wear with it matters as well.
PLEASE DO NOT:
pair them with khakis
pair them with corduroy
PLEASE DO:
pair them with skinnies
pair them with fashionable sneakers
pair them with dark wash jeans
pair them with baggy jeans

They Will be Neverfull

I've been looking up some designer handbags. I know I can't afford any of them for now. But I will, soon. HAHA. So I thought, it's never too early to start saving for a good, designer bag. And that's what I'm doing now. Looking up some good large totes for ANYTHING and maybe a college bag. I know it's not a necessity, but it's a luxury, and I want it. Don't get me wrong though. I am NOT spoiled, I am NOT pampered, I am NOT well off, but I'm just average. I don't spend compulsively. I tend to want to splurge on certain items and I tend to stick with that item for a long time until I find a new love. So here are a few that I've been checking out.
If you haven't seen this bag, you should go back to your shell and rot to death! I know it seems typical, but i like this bag. I see SO MANY young girls, chinese especially, carrying this bag around. I don't know why, but I think it's classic and very young looking, and like the name it'll be NEVERFULL. And the best part is, it's LOUIS! Who says no to LOUIS VUITTON? This bag is badass!

Moving on, I saw this coach large tote online and I think it's perfect for college. It's huge, it's black, it's COACH. I mean, it looks very casual to me. And it's cheaper than LV, definitely. And even though I don't usually have a messenger bag or like a sling bag, I like the strap just for extra details, I don't know why. It's just very nice. So yes. Definitely something I'll think about.

THEN! There's another coach bag. It's the classic leather bag. It goes with almost everything. I know, it doesn't look like a good college bag, but I just thought it's pretty. Maybe just one of my everyday black bag, hmm? I have something for big black bags. They make me happy.
I'll end this post here. I'll come back with more of my favs soon :)

Happy 2010 and Taking the HIGH Road

Hello dearies :) I know, I haven't updated this poor blog since the London Bridge was built. But please don't kill me for this. The holidays were on so I took a time off. For those who didn't know I was in Bangkok for 4 days during Christmas. ANYWAY, Happy New Year!! I'm a senior now :D

So today I wanted to talk about my new favourite, the High-Waisted Skirt. I know it's been around for some time. But I never really had them in my collection of clothes. But when I was in Bangkok, I thought I should just get one or more of it just because eveything there is a heap cheaper! So i got one. It doesn't look like the one I have here, cuz it's not a pencil skirt. It's sorta a mini high-waisted. I got a black one with gray stars on it. I don't know why but I really love wearing blacks and grays nowadays. They're like my favourite shades! I mean, yeah I like pink and red and purple and all the other colours in the world, but Black is DEFINITELY topping my list of favourite colours, FOR NOW.

Okay, so I'll talk a little about what I bought in Bangkok. I MIGHT start filming videos and post them up on YouTube just for kicks. If I do, I'll make sure You guys are the first to know :)
In Bangkok, you can almost find everything you want. Clothes, bags, shoes, accesories, sunnies, you name it, they've got it! I felt like a compulsive shopper when I was at the BIGGEST market. Things there are so much cheaper so I didn't have to think twice. It was so simple to get stuff there. Nice? Just grab, pay and move on. It was that simple, literally. Here, you try them on, look at the price tag for just about a gazillion times then think for about another gazilion times then purchase. You just wasted 2 hours there. In Bangkok, you'd have probably bought 50 other items already (unless you run out of cash). So I got this really nice hot red bag. I don't really know how to explain the look, but it's a flashback from the past, definitely. It's not the typical modern tote, it's something YOU might not like. And I think it goes well with my tank+high-waisted skirt combo.

I also bought a few floral and light sundresses for friends and myself. They're just very easy so I got them. Then there was this boutique that sells t-shirts for both men and ladies. I bought 1 on the first day and another on the second day I was there. Both of them are gray. See how obssessed I am!! HAHA. I think I'll continue this another day. OR you know what? I'll just TRY to upload some videos and maybe do a BANGKOK HAUL on YouTube. That'll be much easier and it's better to have illustrations than just reading and imagining from what i have written here. So I'll see y'all soon.

MAC. Taste Me!

I've been going out a lot lately. I went to One Utama last night.. Didn't shop for anything, well, my only excuse to go out is.. IT'S THE HOLIDAYS! Anyway, I went to MidValley Megamall and Gardens today. I didn't plan to get anything because i spent some cash on a pair of sexy heels and a Paris Hilton wallet and I'm not the kind of person who spends money compulsively. As much as I want to call myself a shopaholic, I don't think I'm qualified! haha! But I just went out to pass time and... have good outside food lol (I had Chili's Fajita Trio xD).

But I did get these babies;

5 Frisky Business Bright Mini Lipglass/Lustreglass!

They're from the Holiday Collection. There goes my Christmas pressie from Ee Catherine :) I'm fine with it, I just really really can't wait to get to Bangkok for some heavy shopping spree!! I'm saving for that trip ;)

Art Of Clutch

I am going through the phase of clutch fetish now. I saw a girl in the mall carrying a large animal print clutch and she pulled the look off well! I guess her dressing and the clutch really got a hold of me. Maybe the clutch is the new 'large tote'. Maybe the 'large clutch' should get its fame now. I must say, I do get a little tired of carrying my Blue Roxy bag. It's pretty and I love the colour, but you know what they say... fashion comes and goes. So I think I should update my style. I was feeling the beachy, sun dress feel before this. But now, I'm more into the edgy look with a lot of BLACK. And a tinge of gold, or more! And I see hot red coming too. I like the black+gold combo. It feels so... VERONICA!

So here are some clutches;
..... if you like diamente clutches. A dinner, perhaps?

.... if you like it simple and toned-down. Satin is a good feel!

....if you are a super eco-friendly person. Malaysians, you can find something like this at Kitsch, Marmalade (Bangsar Village II) . You get fun colours to play with you look!

... If you like colours and simplicity. They come in different sizes and colours. Have fun mix-and-matching!

And then you have my FAVOURITE! Animal prints. Get them in faux, though. You don't want to kill those poor animals for your own selfish reasons! Another reason why I love animal prints is because I like the colour combo. Black and brown/gold is my way to go ;)
People say I don't look my age, well, do I have to look like a 16 year old and wear jeans and t-shirt all day? You may, kiss my ass for that. I played dress-up even before you knew what a pair of wedges were! And I still play dress-up!

3.1 Phillip Lim is genius!

I just found another jaw-dropping line of clothings designed by a Genius! Phillip Lim is the man! I just checked out the latest collection by him, for Spring 2010. And I am happy to have found another designer I love. Zac Posen blew me away when i took a look at his amazing clothes, but let's leave that aside for now. It's time for Phillip Lim to take his glory!

I think this lipstick-red suit is beautiful. I fell in love with it after the first glance. It's rare to work a full red ensemble, but this looks perfect. My mom would love this! Not that it's old fashion or anything, she just LOVES the colour red! And anyway, the old is back with a new twist and I am loving it. This is when I wish my mom didn't throw out her old statement pieces and kept it for me instead. This just gave me an idea. I should keep my clothes and let my daughters enjoy them next time, eh? Well, just a thought!

More of Phillip Lim's. Do I have to say more? Those ensembles are screaming for attention themselves!

Now, don't you just adore these shoes? For 3.1 Phillip Lim Spring 2010, Phillip Lim teamed up with Christian Louboutin! And voila, these babies were made. I can't possibly afford ANY of their creations, but a girl can dream! And I am here, doing just that. What I love about these shoes are the red-coloured soles. They make the shoes look classy and fabulous.
Something to work for - to-die-for Louboutin's!
Now all I have to do is magically land myself on my dream job with a hefty paycheck and everything'll be good. OR. I can find a rich guy and instead of him sweeping my feet away, I do otherwise. And BAYMMM! Louboutin's :D

Just keep dreaming, dreaming, dreaming!

Your Must-Haves!

There are just too many type of shoes in the market to be worn every day of the year. So what do people like me and you, the mass market buy? Are you going to spend on ALL of them? Let's see, you'd probably want a pair of

Converse, ballerina flats (in different colours), wedges (of many heights and many colours), strappy heels, espadrilles, boots, flip flops of all sorts, crocs, diamente sandals, silver sandals, black sandals, brown/gold sandals, peep-toe pumps, patent pumps, Cage shoes, gladiator sandals, etc.

I would mention more, but i think that should cut it. Anyway, as I was saying, even Tamara Mellon of Jimmy Choo thinks there are 4 pairs of footwear that you NEED. Only 4. You heard me right. Here are the 4 essential footwears every girl/lady should own;

1. Ballerina Flat- forever kicky, they can work for evening or day and always look chic.
2. Metallic Strappy Sandals- Gold or Silver, they can work with mostly everything, from jeans to
a gown, and can usually work around the clock.
3. Plain Knee-High Boot- a winter must. (But not for us, Malaysians)
4. Great Black Pump- low-cut on the upper and as high as you can handle the heel. A great pair can take you from the office to the streets!

And an additional pair; A Jeweled Sandal!

So you see, you don't NEED to spend a fortune on these few pairs of shoes, you just got to work them right, and walk with your swagger! You'll turn heads, for sure. (Just make sure you turn heads for the right reasons!)
