Inspired by Karl

Hi fashionistas!

The clogs are back! Karl Lagerfeld kinda started it again. We saw the Chanel Spring 2010 collection with Lily Allen singing at the back. The collection was good. Then you see the shoes. The models had wooden clogs on. And you know it, clogs are back! So here are two examples of clogs. The closed-toe clogs aren't as pretty (I think). I mean, some are alright. And it's just the way you pair 'em with your clothes. But here, I found a pair of Miu Miu's and Steve Madden's.

Again, this is what you can wear them with. Boyfriend jeans, a loose v-neck T, and a simple or crazy clutch or bag. Anything!

You can also pair clogs with a dress. They're very wearable. Easy! I should get one! :)

I miss playing dress up. I miss being a little girl I was.

How To: Dress Down a Cocktail Dress

You walk into your favourite boutique. The first thing that catches your eyes is a dress. You want it so bad and think, "Where'd I wear this to?". Here's good news for you! Buy it because you love it and buy it because you CAN dress it down. Don't have to be a particularly large event that you're going to. You can just wear it out and not feel ashamed for dressing up.

I know I'm giving you toooooo many examples of a cocktail dress, but I just found too many pretty ones that I want to show you all. :)

If you noticed, all the dresses I chose are tubes. Yeah they're easier to work my way. And to glam it up (although you just want to dress down), deck the bangles up! Here are two sets of good examples. You can choose one or just... have fun and stack 'em up like pancakes!

Now here comes the T-shirt. What you do is, find a cute T that will go well with your dress. Don't have to be too matchy-matchy on this one. Just pick one that will go with your colour scheme. I suggest something plain and simple. Steer clear of the printed ones with a huge statement on it 'cause after putting on the dress, you'd notice that the statements are not visible. Or maybe a little of it will show - which is a NO-NO. Something like the one below will be cute.

So there you go. Have fun shopping. Always remember that there is a way for anything at all. Just check with yourself if it's worth the price. And if you'll wear it. If you answer yes to both those questions, go ahead and get them badasses!

Happy shopping! :)

How To: Work the Brogues

So if you're wondering what the brogues are, they look something like the 'oxfords'. They're actually about the same thing. Oxfords sound better but brogues sound new to me, so I'm using this term. HEHE.

You get them heeled, or flat.

Here are some items you can pair them with;

What you do is you can fold the pants up a little higher so your legs would be exposed a little. They'll look something like the boyfriend jeans. But boyfriend jeans gives you a more slouchy look. And you may wear it with a lacy top like the one below.
OR
With a blazer over a loose t-shirt. Tuck the T in so it wouldn't cover up your structured pants. You want to show of the shape of your body. Not hide it.

For a bag, I chose an Alexa Chung inspired bag by Mulberry. I think this bag just polishes the look.
This look is more to the conservative side, so you can wear it to work. If you were younger, you could spice it up with some chunky jewelery or lose the blazer or opt for a different bag. Mix and match is the way to go, beauties!

Have fun playing dress-up! :)

Shoes Of Prey

Hi guys!

I found a really cool website where you can design your very own pair of shoe and actually BUY IT! Yes, you heard me right!

It's really simple to design your shoe. You just go on to shoesofprey.com and click 'Start Designing'. And you just start from there. It's very easy. You have examples so you can get inspired by them. Or you could just start from scratch and try the designs out. And from what I've heard, they're comfortable. The highest heel they have is 4.5 inches. But who wouldn't wear a 4 inch heel if they're comfortable, right? :)

Here are the 3 designs I've come up with so far;

Here's the Gladiator style heel with gold zipper. I chose blue and light green fish skin on the back, the middle strap, and the platform. Pink/Violet fish skin for the other two straps, the center of the shoe and the heel. And to top it all off, black fish skin.

Here is a Mary Jane inspired shoe. I chose a 4.5 inched high heel. A double bow to top off the round peep-toe. Here, I decided on Pink patent leather on the whole. And Light pink patent leather on the platform and strap. On the top bow, I chose Gold patent leather and the bottom, Shiny Dark Olivey Grey patent leather.

And here, you have the team behind this incredibly chic website. Jodie Fox (middle) is the Director of Fashion and Founder of this company. Michael Fox (right) is the Director of Operations and Founder as well. And no, they're not siblings, if you're wondering *giggles*. Then you have Mike Knapp (left) who is the Director of Technology and Founder of ShoesOfprey.

Here are how your shoes will look like.

So if you have a shoe in mind and you don't know where to get it, Shoes Of Prey could just be your answer. And they do ship internationally. Prices are pretty high though. But you know, girls will go the extra mile for anything they want ;)

I think I should come up with a website like this too! Like, design your handbag and price them reasonably. 'Cause these shoes are pretty expensive in Malaysian RM. A 4.5 inch heel will cost you 280 USD.

Oh well, at least you can have fun designing shoes! :)

That's how you do an LBD! And yes, this IS pretty church-y. Exposed at the right areas. Just do some areas right ;)

I'm A Rockstar!

I got bored, so I thought I'd put some stuff together. This is my vision of a rocker. I think I always picture a person wearing something like this to the club. I'D WEAR IT! (That's if I EVER find a good pair of skinny jeans for my stubby legs)

I like the printed T. It's so cool looking dontcha think? I'd totally wear it!!

Alright. I'll be back with more ensembles soon. Tell me what you want, I'll put it together for you. :)

Maybe a church-y outfit next. Like the contemporary-looking one. :)

Zac Posen. Resort 2010 Womenswear

I present to you, Zac Posen.
No, this isn't his full collection. Just a few hand-picked ones (by yours truly).
The ones that caught my eye.
Watch the evolution of the collection from such structured pieces to flow-y ones.

BEAUTIFUL

This is one of my favourites. I like how it fits so well on top.

This as well. I like the sexy-but-not-slutty exposure of skin.

This one's pretty too.

I'm kinda liking the off-shoulder look. I should get one of those. HAHA. (With my parents' money because I AM SAVING for a bag). See how I'm not eating too much and buying unnecessary items. I should look for a pretty and afforable one. WHY? Because cheap is the new expensive.

Love lots, dolls.
